The raw material for the innovative ROTEC® lightweight aggregates was formed around 12,900 years ago during the last volcanic eruption in Germany. Air-entrained natural pumice - a pure, silicate mineral with unique properties - formed directly beneath the earth's surface.
ROTOCELL® and ROTOCELL PLUS® - high-performance, mineral lightweight aggregates with outstanding insulating and processing properties - are produced from this high-quality raw material. The range is complemented by ROTOBASE®, a siliceous rock flour that sustainably improves the strength and durability of plasters, mortars and concretes through chemical reaction with cement.
